One Apprehended in Connection to Little Italy Crimes, More Expected

Dec 30, 2021

Cleveland (Dec. 31, 2021) - Councilman Blaine A. Griffin wants to thank the Cleveland Police, the Little Italy community and Little Italy Redevelopment for the swift arrest of an alleged carjacker.

“The investigation is ongoing, and I expect more arrests,” said Councilman Griffin, who represents the Little Italy neighborhood. “But while there have been four recent incidents, including a non-fatal shooting, Little Italy is a safe neighborhood.

“Chief (Calvin) Williams and Commanders (Dorothy) Todd and (Sammy) Morris responded quickly to the recent rash of carjackings,” Councilman Griffin continued. “The community is and will continue to be vigilant in notifying the police if they see suspicious activity and the police will continue their work of apprehending the criminals.”
