(Cleveland, Ohio - May 19, 2025) - Cleveland City Council will mark a historic moment as Councilwoman Jasmin Santana is set to become the first Latina to preside over tonight’s council meeting at 7:00 p.m. at Cleveland City Hall in Council Chambers. This significant event highlights Councilwoman Santana's leadership and is a testament to the growing diversity and representation within Cleveland and inside the halls of City Hall.

"This is a proud moment for our city and the Latino community," said Council President Blaine A. Griffin. "Councilwoman Santana's dedication and leadership have paved the way for this historic achievement. We congratulate her on this accomplishment."
