Councilwoman Jasmin Santana Celebrates Grand Reopening of Storer Park

Sep 04, 2025

Join Ward 14 Councilwoman Jasmin Santana and residents for the grand reopening of Storer Park on Saturday, September 6th at 11:30 am with a ceremonial ribbon cutting.

The reopening marks the culmination of a collaborative effort between the city, neighborhood residents, and community partners to reimagine Storer Park as a welcoming space for people of all ages.

The newly redesigned park centers around a recreational field. It features a perimeter loop pathway leading to a new play area and a shaded picnic area equipped with both game and picnic tables. These spaces were designed to support multigenerational activities, striking a balance between recreational play and opportunities for relaxation and gathering.

Additional enhancements include:
•    New site furnishings and ornamental fencing
•    Sidewalk repairs to improve accessibility
•    Multiple new tree plantings to expand the park’s natural canopy
Future planned improvements include the installation of safety cameras and site lighting for greater security and accessibility.

“The new Storer Park demonstrates the power of community partnership and shared vision,” said Councilwoman Jasmin Santana. “Together, residents and the City of Cleveland have created a safe, beautiful space where families, friends, and neighbors can come together.”

The reopening of Storer Park underscores Councilwoman Santana’s commitment to improving neighborhood amenities in Ward 14, enhancing quality of life, and investing in spaces that bring people together.
