New Wards Starting in 2026

In January 2026, Cleveland’s new ward boundaries will take effect, reducing the number of wards from 17 to 15 due to population loss, as required by the City Charter.

City Council Updates

Council Resumes Monday Night Meetings: City Council resumes its regular 7 pm Monday meetings on Sept. 15th.

Election Information: The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections has adjusted Clevelanders' polling locations to align with the 15 ward maps, despite ward changes not taking effect until January 2026.

The municipal general election will be held on November 4, 2025. Review your polling location from this link. You can look up your new Ward and polling location. Go to the Board of Elections for more information.
