Toy Gun Buyback in Broadway Area
 
 
WHO: Councilman Tony Brancatelli, Ward 12,
Councilwoman Phyllis Cleveland, Ward 5,
Slavic Village Development,
The Broadway Collaborative,
ArcelorMittal,
McDonalds,
the Enterprise Foundation,
Pilgrim Community United Church of Christ,
The Jewish Federation,
Cleveland Housing Network, and
The Broadway Slavic Village Community
   
WHAT: A Toy Gun Buyback in partnership with Cleveland Citywide Gun Buyback program.  The first 400 youth bringing in their toy Guns will be given a gift certificates to McDonalds.  Kids over the age of 8 will also be given gift certificates for free recorder classes at The Broadway School of Music and the Arts.
   
WHEN: Saturday, November 10, 2007 from 10 am to 2 pm
 
WHERE: Broadway United Methodist Church, 5246 Broadway Avenue
   
WHY: “This is a good opportunity to get to children early on, teaching them that guns are not toys,” said Councilman Brancatelli.  “The toy gun buyback program provides kids with a positive replacement.”
