Poland Street gets original name back in time for Polish Independence Day

| WHY: |
The original name of E. 66th Street south of Lansing Avenue was Poland Street. After 102 years without that name, the southern end of E. 66th Street passed Lansing Avenue will commemoratively reclaim its former title as Poland Street. As November 11, 2007 will mark the 89th Anniversary of Poland regaining its independence and signing its current constitution, the commemoration will be a part of the celebration of the Polish independence.
