Today – January 20, 2010 – will be the last day that Katherine Bulava represents Cleveland City Council as Communications Director.
“Having Katherine as a part of the team has been a great boon to Cleveland City Council and we are sad to see her go, but we understand her need to move on with her career and wish her the best,” said Clerk of Council Patricia J. Britt.
After nearly 5 years working for Cleveland City Council first as a consultant and then as Communications Director, Ms. Bulava has decided to turn a new leaf in her professional career. She will be reviving her freelance consulting activities under the business name of Hatha Communications, which will primarily focus on political, government and non-profit communications.
“Working for Cleveland City Council, particularly under the direction of Council President Martin J. Sweeney and Clerk Britt, has been a pleasure and I had the opportunity to learn and grow immensely,” said Ms. Bulava. “Nevertheless, before joining Council’s staff I had the goal of growing a communications consulting business and I would like to pursue that goal once again.”
