Councilman Brancatelli attends another auction to monitor sales of foreclosed real estate

WHO: Councilman Anthony Brancatelli, Ward 12

WHAT: Councilman Brancatelli intends to monitor sales of foreclosed upon properties to occur at the Hudson and Marshall Real Estate Auction

WHEN: Sunday, May 11, 2008 at 1 pm

WHERE: Holiday Inn
15471 Royalton Road, Strongsville

WHY: Councilman Brancatelli is continuing his practice of monitoring the sales of foreclosed upon real estate at auction in order to ensure that both the sellers and buyers are aware of their respective responsibilities pertaining to City Building and Housing Codes.  It is in the best interests of the City of Cleveland, as well as buyers and sellers of such properties, for individuals involved in auction sale of foreclosed properties to fully understand the City’s requirements for maintenance, repair and ownership.  While we encourage people to become involved in the revitalization of our neighborhoods, it is crucial that the quality of life be preserved and the Cycle of Abandonment is broken.
