| WHAT: |
Skateboarders from both sides of the Cuyahoga will be meeting on the streets of Historic Slavic Village for a tournament of flatground SKATE. the Game of SKATE is similar to "HORSE" in basketball. Skateboarders will go head-to-head to perform tricks. When one skater completes a trick others must repeat it or take a letter from the word SKATE. Skaters who collect all 5 letters drop out, and the winner proceeds to the next round
Prize packages from sponsoring skateboard shops include decks, wheels, trucks, apparel, and eS Shoes. Prizes are awarded to the top 5 finalists. Thanks to éS the overall winner of this Game of SKATE will have the opportunity to attend the semi-finals in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Any one interested in entering the tournament can register online at Slavicvillage.org or can register the day of the event. There is a $5 registration fee due the day of the event.
