New Councilmember Joins Cleveland City Council
 
 
Cleveland City Council would like to introduce its newest member to the Cleveland community.

Councilman Michael A. Dolan will resign from his Council post to take a position in Governor Strickland’s cabinet.  Martin J. Keane be sworn in as the new Ward 21 representative at the Council Meeting at 7 pm on Monday, March 26, 2007.     

“I am honored to have served on this body as the Ward 21 representative,” said Councilman Dolan.  “Martin J. Keane is a lifelong resident of Ward 21 and an asset to the community.”

Councilman Keane comes to Council from the County Prosecutor’s Office where he served as an Assistant County Prosecutor of Cuyahoga County.   He is a graduate of The Ohio State University and Cleveland Marshall College of Law.  He was born and raised in Ward 21, where he currently resides with his wife and four children.

Councilman Keane will serve on Cleveland City Council until a special election for Ward 21 will be held.  The primary election is set for Tuesday, May 29, 2007 which will be followed by the general election on Tuesday, July 3, 2007.
