Council publishes Community Ordinances & Resources booklet

Cleveland City Council, in a continual effort to improve the quality of life for the residents of the City of Cleveland, has published a Community Ordinances & Resources booklet.

Council President Martin J. Sweeney realizes that it is just as important to make sure that residents are aware of the laws in place to protect them as it is for those laws to be passed.   The booklet includes information on ordinances relating to noise, the behavior of minors, dog nuisances, activities classified as nuisances, waste collection, property maintenance, building code standards, where to get permits and more.

"The Community Ordinances & Resources booklet is meant to help residents understand their rights and connects them to valuable, common sense information that is most often requested from Council Members," said Council President Sweeney.   "The booklet also empowers residents to recognize inappropriate actions and report them, improving quality of life in their own neighborhoods."

Residents can obtain the Community Ordinances & Resources booklet by requesting a copy from their Council Representative, visiting www.clevelandcitycouncil.org or clicking here. The link to the booklet is located on the bottom left side of the homepage.
