| Cleveland Residents turn property on demolition list around |
| |
| |
Councilman Santiago, Ward 14, and Cleveland City Council would like to recognize three Cleveland residents for their efforts toward making their neighborhood a more pleasant place to live. On Friday, February 15th, Alan and Beth Mancuso and Graham Binnig turned in paperwork to become the owners of a home that was slated for demolition.
The new owners immediately requested that the multi-family property, located on W. 45th Street, be removed from the demolition list. They have already started the process of securing financing to rehabilitate the home and have obtained a pending permit. They believe the financing will come through within the next 6 weeks, and have already contacted a general contractor who is on board as soon as the funds are available.
The Mancuso’s and Mr. Binnig have long been dedicated members of the Ward 14 community and have been active in the area block clubs and organizations. Their commitment to their neighborhood and the City of Cleveland is commendable and highly regarded.
“It is so wonderful to see Cleveland residents like the Mancuso’s and Mr. Binnig making an effort to make their community better,” said Councilman Santiago. “By working together we make huge strides toward a safer, more beautiful Cleveland. “ |
