| Council's CFO accepted into Cleveland Bridge Builders |

Cleveland City Council is proud to announce that a valuable staff member has been accepted into the Cleveland Bridge Builders Class of 2008.
In addition to serving as a dedicated Council employee, Shameka Jones, Chief Financial Officer, has been working diligently to further her career and expand her knowledge. A recent MBA graduate, Ms. Jones' energy, drive and dedication to self-betterment have lead to her acceptance in the Cleveland Bridge Builders Class of 2008.
"We are proud to have a member of our staff participate in Cleveland Bridge Builders," said Council President Martin J. Sweeney. "The leadership training that Ms. Jones will receive will be invaluable to her individually as well as to Council as a whole."
As Chief Financial Officer for City Council, Ms. Jones prepares and manages and $6 million annual operating budget and $1 million in Neighborhood Equity Funds in addition to approving all receipts and expenditures for Council and serving as a liaison to the City's Finance Department.
Cleveland Bridge Builders is a leadership training organization that builds leaders for our community's future by providing leadership training and development, serving as a leadership resource for the community, and by embracing inclusive and connective leadership.
