Community Meeting to be held on the design of the new Collinwood Community and Recreation Center

Councilman Michael D. Polensek, Ward 11, is hosting a community meeting on the design of the Collinwood Recreation and Community Center design at the Lakeshore Golden Age Center, 16600 Lakeshore Blvd., at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, April 25, 2007.

Paul Volpe from City Architecture and Ubiquitous Design will present design concepts for the state-of-the-art proposed Collinwood Community and Recreation Center to be built at 16300 Lakeshore Blvd. on the former 5.4 acre site of the Big Lots store.

“This meeting will open up the design process up to the community,” said Councilman Polensek.  “The final design should be reflective of the needs and desires of those who will use the center.”

The new Collinwood Community and Recreation Center will cost approximately $10 million to build.
