Ward 2

Councilman Zack Reed is honored to have been given the responsibility to serve the Southeast side of Cleveland since his installation in December of 2000.  His Ward includes the Mt. Pleasant and Kinsman neighborhoods.

Councilman Reed has made the revitalization of the Mt. Pleasant community his top priority.  He believes, first and foremost, that the community must be considered a safe and inviting place to live, work, raise a family and worship.  He has continually worked with the Fourth District Police to decrease crime in the area and has funded additional policing to increase surveillance and discourage crime....more

Little Italy embraces the Feast of the Assumption, Tremont inspires with its art walk and University Circle enchants with Parade the Circle.  While these signature events draw thousands each year to these regional hotspots, the Mt. Pleasant community will again host an event that caters to everyone in Cleveland offering free, national entertainment acts and access to community resources with the 7th annual Family Unity Day in the Park.

Cleveland today launched a program to help provide residents with some relief from the high cost of prescription drugs. The city is making free prescription drug discount cards available to city residents through a program sponsored by the National League of Cities (NLC).
